Form 8027 Definition

Form 8027 is used to file annual reports at the IRS that record wages and tips earned by the employees of large food and/or beverage organizations.

Form 8027 Extended Definition
Business owners operating one or more large-scale food and/or beverage establishments are required to file Form 8027 to report annual earnings. If the owner operates multiple establishments, a separate Form 8027 is required for each. Additionally, multiple establishments operating in the same premises require separate forms if gross revenue is calculated separately. This form will also include details of tips earned by employees. If all employees earn at least $20 or more in tips every month, they are required to report 100% of their earnings to the employer. To read more details on Form 8027, visit the IRS website.
